Keystone: A solid tradition of academic excellence in distance learning

Keystone National High School was founded in 1974 as the Learning and Evaluation Center, a pioneering organization that provided a credit make-up home education program for students who had failed a high school course of study.

By 1994, the founders had expanded the program, fulfilling the requests of educators and parents who wanted a complete, flexible, full-credit high school curriculum to meet the needs of home education students. That year, Keystone National High School became the official school/program name and received its license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

We introduced our first online courses in 1999, and in 2003 and 2004 introduced a second generation of online courses, representing a significant upgrade to our online courses.

In in working with families with high school age children, we recognized the need to provide a quality, online middle school for younger students. Built on the same principles of flexibility, quality, and experience that are the hallmarks of our high school program, Keystone National Middle School offers students in grades 6 through 8 a complete home-based education that will help them build skills for success in the 21st century.

Throughout our 30-year history, we've relied on subject matter specialists, certified classroom teachers, experienced guidance counselors, professional distance education course writers, caring parents and—most
importantly—our 200,000+ students, to help shape Keystone into the award-winning school it is today.

We invite you to take a closer look at Keystone's many advantages, then put our unmatched experience to work for your family.

Award-Winning Programs Keystone has been recognized by the United States Distance Learning Association for best practices in curriculum and outstanding online teaching.
