Basics needed for online courses:

A major benefit of online courses is that you can access them from wherever you have a computer with Internet access. Here are the basics you'll need:

• A basic understanding of and access to a computer and the Internet. Online courses require students to log-on with a user name and password, view and click on interactive content, navigate pages, and complete online forms.
• Access to basic hardware and software.
• Ability to work in an online environment. Of course, your student won't spend all day on the computer, and good planning can minimize the amount of time spent online.
